Meet the Audiologist

Dr. Jaclyn Drolet is an Audiologist in Central Florida with almost a decade of experience. She has a passion for helping patients navigate through their hearing healthcare journey.

She spent her career working in Ear Nose and Throat facilities and private practice offices, gaining expertise in diagnosing different severities of hearing loss, recognizing ear abnormalities and recommending different treatment options.

Outside of audiology, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two dogs, Ace Ventura and Beverly. She is frequently finding new adventures with friends and family, whether it be swimming, bike riding, or spending a day at Disney World!

Inspired by Connection

Dr. Jackie understands firsthand the impact that hearing loss can have on a loved one, and the family and friends closest to them.

Growing up, she witnessed the extra listening effort to follow conversations, the repeated questions at family gatherings, and the moments when a loved one smiled and nodded despite not fully hearing what was said. While some of these moments brought laughter and lighthearted misunderstandings, others revealed feelings of frustration and isolation. These experiences led Dr. Jackie to a passion for audiology and a desire to help others through their hearing healthcare journey.

Ace Audiology was inspired by someone very special, Dr. Jackie’s oldest dog, Ace Ventura. The bond they share serves as a daily reminder of the importance of connection, trust, and compassion.

These values are the foundation of Ace Audiology. Hearing healthcare should be centered around listening, understanding each individual’s unique needs, and helping them stay connected to the people and moments that matter most.

What is an Audiologist?

An Audiologist is a licensed medical professional who specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of the auditory and vestibular systems. This can include hearing, balance, tinnitus, processing, etc.

Treatment options can vary depending on the severity of the impairment, but include hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other osseointegrated devices.

Mobile audiology allows you to receive expert hearing care in the comfort of your own home, workplace or at a favorite activity! Personalized appointments also allow us to better understand your listening environment and provide recommendations tailored to your daily lifestyle.

Will insurance cover the cost of hearing aid technology?

Typically, Medicare (Part B) will cover diagnostic hearing evaluations when they are medically necessary and ordered under appropriate Medicare guidelines. However, Medicare does not generally cover hearing aids or routine hearing aid maintenance.

Most commercial insurance plans will cover annual hearing evaluations, and while some may offer some monetary assistance towards hearing aids technology, it is best to contact Member Services directly on the back of your insurance card for full clarification.

What hearing aid technology is best for me?

While hearing aid success is largely focused on appropriate fitting techniques and electroacoustic verification, picking an appropriate hearing aid technology is an important starting point.

When determining what hearing aid technology is best suited for your lifestyle, you would want to consider several factors- including the severity of your hearing loss and your overall activity level.
